The Kemp Valley Group was formed by local residents concerned about proposals for an incineration plant at Shropshire Highland Seeds in Brockton, South Shropshire.
The proposal for Brockton was abandoned in favour of a new site at Crowgate Business Park in Bishop`s Castle. The Kemp Valley Group actively oppose this development as do the people of the town, visit www.bishopscastlegroup.org.uk
MARCH 2008 BCBPP HAVE RESUBMITTED THEIR PLANNING APPLICATION
The plans have changed very little and our concerns remain re: Sustainability of fuel supply, Air Emissions, Traffic, Noise, and Visual Impact.
Information from South Shropshire District Council planning office is confusing with a variety of dates been given for completed submissions, but EVERYONE needs to rewrite their letters quoting
planning application no: 1/08/20502/F
by 31st March 2008 .
The Kemp Valley lies within a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Brockton is a small Hamlet within this AONB that is recognised by the Campaign for the Protection Of Rural England as one of the last tranquil areas in England. The proposed site is central to the village which is served by single track roads with no footpaths and no lighting.
